THE ORIGINS OF THE BUILDING


The building was constructed in 1890 under the supervision and custody of the police department until the 1950's. In the 1950's the building was handed over to the District Council to serve as a fire station. In 1967 the fire station administration submitted to the state Government and in 1978 was placed under the Federal Government.

The building is used by the police department as storage of ammunition and Klang Traffic Police Office. In the time of the Japanese occupation where the station is functional and serve as a warning sound where there is an attack from Japanese soldiers. The back of this building is the house of quarters of members.

FIRE STATION HISTORY

In 1950, the building was handed over to the fire department under the administration of "Town Council" (Municipality). During that time, there were only 7 people in charge of the department:
- 1 sub officer
- 1 leading fireman
- 5 fireman

Machinery used is the type of towing equipment, the members were assigned to control the machinery. In 1963 Fire Administration consolidated for Selangor state. This station has been used as the Selangor Fire Department Headquarters.
